Biography
CidsonAlguewi is one of the key figures on the Chadian music scene. Regardless of his very young age, has has already managed to give another dimension to the African music.
The multi-talented artist works with all dimensions of his music creation. Cidsonis both an author, composer, actor, arranger, interpreter and producer.
Cidson started his musical carrier a chorister at the church of Chad and later accompanied several big Chadian and international acts as an instrumentalist, including Jacky Rapon and many others,.
Since the creation of his group Sahel Academy, Cidson becomes the darling of the Chadian public who devours his musical work without moderation. But despite his success, he stays focused and spends time improving his talent to be able to break on the competitive international market.
Thanks to the success of his band, Cidson is able to spread his music style « Siatoc » - a mix of traditional Chadian music with Rumba and electro colorings.
As one of the main artist from the country in the centre of Central Africa, the Chadian talent takes in inspiration from a range of sources.
Cidson gets to share stage with groups like Extra Musica International, Magic System, Hope 2000, FallyIpupa, Papa Wemba, Mokobe, Fanny J, Molare, Warren, Stone Warley, TownyandMouniraMitchala.
The artist spends time in Abidjan where he collaborates with the rapper Nash. After having conquered the Chadian market, he is fueled by the idea of succeeding in the international scene.
In 2018 Cidson meets with the international record company Kingstone Records who is travelling through Central Africa, searching for the greatest talents on the continent. The connection is immediate and as they enter the studio together, creative magic happens. In only a few days they record a multitude of songs as well as the music video for his upcoming single « Touma », set for a release at the end of the summer.
